National Parks Series - Full Collection
Ryan’s spiritual connections to nature have greatly influenced his music since early in his compositional career. In 2017, Ryan wrote his first piece based on a United States National Park, “Acadia.” Acadia National Park, the first place in the United States to see sunrise, sparked the inspiration for the rest of the project. Ryan wanted to create a series of pieces for his primary instrument ensemble, Trombone Choir, each illustrating a unique National Park. Each piece in the collection can be performed individually, in separate collections, or as a complete through-composed series. The 1st Edition of the National Parks Series feature five parks: Yellowstone, Acadia, Sequoia, Death Valley, and Glacier.
