THE American Guild of Organists Student commissioning Project

Four composer-organist student pairs were selected in the fall of 2023: 

Ryan McQuay Meredith (composer) and 

Joseph Maxwell Ossei-Little (organist) from Syracuse University

Felicity Mazur-Park (composer) from Texas Christian University and 

David Aaron Preston (organist) from Yale University

Videos of their winning compositions will be available in the summer of 2024.

Alaska

In June of 2023, Ryan and six other composers visited Lake Clark National Park. Each composer wrote a composition for Wind Ensemble about their experience in the wilderness. Ryan’s composition in the project is titled West of Nowhere, Click the score cover to listen to the digital rendering.

Currently, three ensembles are scheduled to premiere all six compositions this spring (dates TBD):
